Another great jewelry maker.....  (I think I'm in the wrong craft)  Anyone that can make great jewelry to wear with any outfit gets an A+ in my book.  After browsing UDMsP, it only took me minutes to find MANY pieces I would love to have... Check them out.

Feature of the Week.

Alyssabeth’s Handcrafted Jewelry....where you will find hand crafted Collage and Altered Art Jewelry creations, along with Cottage Style Shabby Chic Vintage Flea Market Finds and re-purposed vintage and antique décor.  The name Alyssabeth's comes from a combination of her name and her step daughters!!  I love putting names together (hint my name DanDe)

I've been so busy this year after April 15th - its crazy!!!!  Usually this is my time to take a break and regroup but not so much this year....

I have to agree with everything in the announcement.  What a great period to live in (50s-80s) -- Its fun stuff to wear - so why not try it!  She has over 200 items for sale so I'm sure there is something for everyone!

There is one dress that I love (too bad I'm not considered small) ---  As a girl growing up I would watch "Showboat" a movie about a lady that sang on a boat.  There were many scenes with her wearing love gowns with sheer arms..... this dress totally reminds me of that movie (thanks for the smile - and reminder of something I haven't thought about in over 20 years)

The next item I found that I really liked was a nightgown!!!  How come I don't even wear anything out during the day that is this nice?  Some of the items found on Empress Jade's Etsy store just makes me smile.  It brings back a lot of great memories growing up with a grandmother that wore things like this.  Women 20+ years ago cared more about their appearances... some may think this is a bad thing but after looking at all the lovely things in EJ- Etsy store -- I'm thinking I would love to bring these items in my house so my daughter will have something to smile about in 20 years.

This week I am honored to feature... Just the Goods  At first I had no clue what this little shop could be about - but after spending a few minutes reading their blog and going to their website - I learned A LOT!  What great information and great tips... not only for your beauty and health but things we can use in our everyday lives.

Last weeks feature...

One thing I am usually not is a slacker -- especially when it comes to someone else being left out.  But I was this past week.  I started getting sick on Sat May 8th - and just kept getting worse until last Friday I had to go have x-rays and blood work....  :(   I am feeling much better now...

ANYWAY.....

I know I have featured this lovely blog before (here) but I didn't switch with someone so what the heck...why not feature them again ;)

Christine has a very cute blog!  I love the owl..and the colors...   her intro on her etsy page says it all....  "My lovely little shop has handmade jewelry that is flirty and fun.  Who wants a UNIQUE piece of jewelry made out of pearls and semi-precious stone???  I do!  Meet husband and wife team of Alexanders Designs.  They have an etsy store where you can get anything you want jewelry wise.   If you can just take a few minutes to go through some of their pieces of jewelry I'm sure you will find one that you love!  Here are my favorite 2 pieces that I found...

A little behind this week

Even though my busy season is over with (tax season) and I am now a WAHM again.... I still have many task to complete.  I am going to be adding about 10 more items/gift sets to my store in the next week. So please keep checking back...

This weeks feature is on Swing Station Studio (sorry I'm late).  This was the first time I have stumbled upon this cute shop.  Heather has cute items in her etsy store like zippered pouches and boxed purses.  Her blog is also fun and light....something enjoyable to read (side note to Heather: you have a cute logo)!  I've added a pic below of her cute and adorable owl change purse!  I love it!  Anyway..back to the subject at hand --Heather is a down to earth wife making cute things for all of us!  If she doesn't have what you want -convo her and I'm sure she could come up with something special to make just for you!

Feature of the Week.

As many of you know this is my last full week at my "real" job.  Next Friday I will return to being a WAHM!  I am very excited about that....  Sorry it took a while to get this post up  - but here it is!!

A newbie to the blog world.  The blog's first post was just last week.  So for now the blog is a work in progress.  :)  Which is fine....b/c the Etsy Store and the Store Website are enough for anyone to look at for now.    Ava has been creating jewelry for the past 3 years.  You wouldn't know that by looking at her items because they are so nice and intricate that it looks like shes been doing this her entire life.  I really don't need to say much more because her items speak for themselves.... If you haven't seen vinyl art decals around or you don't have any in your house - you need to get some QUICK!! In my house we have vinyl decals in both of our kids rooms! These decals are wonderful because as kids age their taste change... well mine does too ;) And you can easily take these off the walls and put new ones up!! Okay enough talk about how much I HEART Off the Wall Expressions ....you go look and you will too!

I really can't say much about what she does because I do not quite understand how she makes such creative items. I CAN say she has some of the prettiest and most unique wedding toppers I have ever seen. Many brides today (and of past) wants that unique item for their wedding... well if you want something more traditional than I would say look elsewhere ---- BUT if you want a unique, ONE OF A KIND, individual item for one of the most spectacular days of your life... then you NEED to check out her blog and her store. On a personal note - its been a crazy few weeks. Dani got the stomach bug for the first time 2 weeks ago. On family portrait day. Yes portraits were canceled. We reschedule for the following Saturday only to find Declan had the stomach bug. I'm convinced they were just nervous about the photos ;) Luckily we made it through it on round 2 - Hope to post some pics soon (as soon as I see them)...

New things are happening

New things are on the horizon....

1. I'm getting a web page designed and hopefully by this weekend it will be ready to set up. I will now have an online boutique with lot of fun stuff to offer!
2. I joined an etsy team!!! Can't wait to write little bits on my other team members (stayed tuned)
3. I will be offering giveaways on a couple of great blogs... hopefully I will be announcing them soon enough

Declan is sick again - Double ear infection - the question lingering in my mind is will he need tubes like his sister????

Terrible Tuesdays

Or something like that. Not quite far enough into the week to be excited about the weekend.

Today was okay - other than I'm sick again. Luckily my children haven't been sick since December (knock on wood)

I finished some boxers tonight... I will be adding them to my store but these were made as a gift. My friend Laura had her baby a few days ago...and I only found out today!! What a bad friend. Guess that happens when you are sick and have 2 kids and live 3 hours away and its the busiest time of year.. :)

Also joined an Etsy group this weekend - will post details later...

Nothing is cuter

than your LO dressed up in a special outfit. I have a friend that gets to put her LO in nice clothes EVERYDAY. I wish I could but unfortunately my daughter and son attend daycare for 3 1/2 months and while they are there they play HARD. So no nice outfits for them M-F. But come Friday night cute things all around.

I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to help me make things. My mom was never "crafty" she bought what she wanted because she really didn't enjoy making things. My grandmother on the other hand was always cooking and doing something. So maybe I get it from her? My dad's mom is wonderful too! I didn't spend as much time with her growing up but as an adult I can call and talk to her about anything and she always has great advice. So Looking back at all the women that were influential in my life I hope I can pass the good qualities on to my daughter.

I'll pass some good things down to Declan too ;) I will leave most of it up to my husband though (I have one of the good ones).

I've decided to add a video clip of my daughter... she is so sweet

The name Dande...

Some people have asked where I came up with the name "Dande" (pronounced like Dandy) ... I didn't come up with it because my husband did. It represents the 2 most important people in our lives... our Children Dani and Declan....

Now I remember why...

I don't have 18 kids... I can't go without sleep. Last night was one of those nights. After Dani decided she wanted to play instead of sleep, Declan wanted to whine instead of sleep, and Hurley decided to bark instead of sleep... I decided I wanted to sleep.

All is well though I have super kids - they woke up with a lot of spunk.

(Should this be the time to tell you I am not an English Major - so don't be mad at me for bad grammar) :)

I finished 3 sets of bloomers last night... I think they turned out super cute (I'll post pics later). Its so fun to see something from start to finish (other than a blank tax return to one with completed figures) ;)

How many more months till I become a WAHM again??? Hurry up April 15th!!

I just realized this will be the first summer/fall in 2 years I haven't been pregnant. Woohoo!
